2025 Growing Season Positions

Floral Team Crew Member - Part -Time
​
​The Position: Crooked Fence Farm seeks a part time field crew member for our 2025 growing season. We seek an applicant with an enthusiasm to work with cut flowers and  holistic farming methods. You will participate exclusively in cut flower production. . Tasks will include:

• Field and bed preparation + transplanting
• Weed management and cultivation
• ​Equipment use: Tractor using 3-point hitch implements, BCS walk behind tractor, weed whacker, flame weeder, and walk behind lawn mower. 
• Flower harvest and Bouquet Design
• Floral Design for Special Events
• Floral Installation (offsite)
• Occasional farm deliveries
• Other tasks related to our diversified farm production 

Details:

• Part-time 30/hrs per week
• Compensation Range: $16-$20/hr (DOE)
• Wednesday-Saturday
• March 31st- October 31st
• Start times vary with the season, some evenings required

Qualifications:

• Punctual and reliable, must be able to wake up early
• Be willing to work in all weather conditions
• Be able to lift 50lbs reliably and repeatedly 
• Detail-oriented, work well in teams, and eager to learn
• At Least 1 full season of prior farming experience
• Floral Design experience a plus but not required
